As an instructor I want all my students to have fun and grow as both a golfer and a person. Before teaching a new student an evaluation is done of their physical abilities, their immediate needs, and their goals for the future.

I believe that if all students have proper basic fundamentals, they can develop a repeatable golf swing. These include grip, posture, ball position and alignment. Without these it is difficult to hit good golf shots. I also believe that not every person can swing the same way. Every person has different abilities based on athletic ability and physical limitations. As a teacher I try to incorporate those abilities or limitations into the golf swing. Video, teaching aids and pictures are all used to help to reach these goals.

My philosophy has been influenced by Chuck Cook, Bryan Gathright, Stan Utley, Tod Menefee, Jim Hardy and Chris O’Connell.
